Brooklyn Riley is a Model and Content Creator that is making waves everywhere she goes. This young talent has been modeling since she was just 5 years old and has walked the runways all over the country. Brooklyn Riley has also been a cheerleader for ten years, but after suffering an injury she has been sidelined from the sport she loves. She is using this time to focus on her social media content and modeling career. We recently caught up with Brooklyn Riley for this interview about her career so far.

1. Tell us how you got started in the Fashion Industry.

I had started walking the runway when I signed with a local talent agency at the age of 5. I had training when I started and I just loved being on stage. Throughout the years I walked in small shows but it was last year when I decided to reach out to a designer during Swim Week. I was selected to walk for Krissy King and that was when I started walking more and during Fashion Week. There is just something about walking the runway that I just love even if it’s only for a few minutes !

2. What do you love about fashion? How would you describe your fashion style?

I love all kinds of fashion! During Fashion Week, I love seeing all of the different styles and the new trends for the year. My fashion is baggy jeans, crop tops, and Adidas with lots of gold jewelry. When I dress up I love a cute two piece skirt set with high heels ! Even Though I am 5/7 I love my heels to be high so I am really tall!

3. You walk in runway shows all over the world. Where has been your favorite place to walk?
My favorite so far has been Miami Swim Week. This year’s show will be at the end of May and first of June ! I am so excited for this one just because I love the vibe of Miami and the beach !
4. You are an ambassador for The Varsity Family. How did you get started with that partnership?
Since I have been in the Cheer World for so long, I have tried to become a Fashionista in the past. Since I was still under contract with another cheer brand I could not be a model until the contract was up. They reached out and offered me the Ambassador position and I gladly accepted ! Last year I submitted a Fashionista model application and I made it. I was so excited because this brand is absolutely amazing! They are the sweetest and most compassionate group of people I have ever had the pleasure of working with.

5. You are not only a model but also a competitive cheerleader.  What do you love about Cheer?

Cheer has been my life for over 10 years. It has been something that I have done nonstop for so long and has become such a huge part of my life in every aspect. Since my injury in January it has really been tough on me mentally but I still stay busy with my modeling. I miss the friendships, the bonds, taking the stage for those few minutes and performing my heart out, the adrenaline I get right before a performance, and the growth each year from the season. I am unsure if I will be able to go back next season due to the severity of my injuries but I will always cheer my team on!

6. What advice do you have for up and coming models?

Stay positive and take as much advice as you can. Sometimes we may not get the job or the brands that we want but never give up. The right one will come in time. Always have a great portfolio and if you are walking the runway take classes. You never know who will be watching the shows !

7. After working with so many designers, do you have any aspirations to design your own collection?

I have been approached to have my own swimwear, sports wear, and jewelry line so we will see where that leads! You just never know .
8. What are your goals for 2024?

Keep training at the gym, work my social media more, and take on new designers, and travel more. I am so excited to see what 2024 has in store!
